We're two engineers who travel constantly — with our families, with friends — and every trip began the same way: hours lost trying to work out whether a hotel was actually right for us.
And “us” is complicated. One of us is vegetarian; we both need to eat well in the same place. We both want a gym; one runs, so open space matters. Every so often we just want Indian food without hunting for it.
No star rating answers any of that. The honest answers were buried in reviews — scattered across thousands of them, never organised around what we cared about.
Decode Hotel is the process we built for ourselves: tireless agents that read the reviews so you don't have to, and cite every one.
