From delightful local flavors to international cuisine, and vegan-friendly, every meal was a culinary delight.
As a special feature, I would add an excellent plant-based/vegan menu. The most delicious vegan food I've ever eaten. The eggplant steak was such that no fine dining restaurant would be ashamed of it.
The food was incredible especially for us as they had a vegan menu. Chef Hari and the other Chefs created delicious meals for us daily.
As I am vegan, the whole team made sure to inform me of my options and adjusted the menus to fit my dietary needs.
My partner is vegan, and all the team was very accommodating and keen to offer different options.
The food was of the highest quality, beautifully presented, and customized to meet every preference - including vegan and vegetarian options.
The whole dining concept is innovative, with lots of vegan options and a strong commitment to sustainability.
As a vegan and someone with a nut allergy, we felt completely safe and genuinely looked after throughout our stay.

Earlier
We being primarily vegans, Chef Hari took great pains to cook dishes to our liking.
I could have chosen an entirely vegetarian or vegan diet or kept to the Meera Spa menu recommendations and still had some of the best food in my life, but I wanted to try everything so I did.
Must try in my opinion are the Japanese restaurant, the vegan dinner with chef Hari in the garden (delicious food even if you are not vegan, with most ingredients sourced in the garden you are eating in and cooked by Chef Hari just for you)
Chef Harry has also done everything in his power to accommodate our dietary requirements. We have been extremely impressed at his ability to rise to the vegan/vegetarian challenge, in what first appeared to be a meat/fish heavily orientated kitchen.
We also had a wonderful Vegan Garden experience with Executive Chef Hari, which even as non-vegan's we'd highly recommend.
We're both vegan and he spent the time to accommodate to our liking so we never have the same meal twice and was creative with every meal.
Food was very decent and being vegan they made sure that I had options in every meal of the day. Chef Harry would always come and find me and explain to me the dishes.
was well looked after on the vegan food front by chef Harri, who made special dishes for us throughout our stay from breakfast to dinner. Although there is a food menu with some vegan options, they were extremely flexible and would basically make anything on request
One point I would like to mention is, according to my taste the choice of vegan/vegetarian dishes where a bit predictable. I was hoping for something more creative than the usual soup, salad and pasta.
They grow some of their food themselves, so most is organic, there is a vegan menu and for fish lovers, an excellent Japanese restaurant.
The enthusiastic head chef Hari was also great in catering for our dietary requests (vegan)!
This time we booked the plant based experience that Gili offers. Chef Hari is a genius! The plant based experience was mind blowing, the concept of having healthy vegan dishes prepared from the natural ingredients of their organic gardens was exciting.
the lunch menu was excellent as well, and vegan-friendly.
No matter what dietary requirements you have, they will have a menu to suit e.g vegan, keto etc.
Me and my partner are vegan and the staff made a huge effort to cater for us. The dinners each night are themed and if we wanted more options we had a plant based menu that we could order from.
Being a vegan is not always easy when traveling but Gili Lankanfushi delivered! With a special plant based menu I was never short for options.
The chef explained his vegan blue cheese is blue from the island's organic garden's flower petals. Food is like 11 Madison Park (vegan), Per Se (presentation) and Masaharu Morimoto's restaurant(s) (sashimi).
Whilst talking about vegan food he mentioned how versatile Aloe Vera was. Then to our surprise as we were departing he insisted we come and sample his creations - aloe vera ceviche with coconut milk, aloe Vera tempura, black bean tofu and green tea tofu.
They already have a huge plant based menu and lots of vegan options for all of the buffet nights.
The food is excellent and covers every single need (even full vegan menu plus off menu any request).
Chef Hari, you were so kind in catering to our dietary vegetarian/vegan preference. Besides already crafting the most delicious food, it was so generous of you to come to our table every breakfast and dinner to see what special meal you could prepare for us! We so loved the Açaí-bowl, perhaps a suitable addition to the already extensive regular breakfast menu.
If you are vegetarian or vegan, this is the place to holiday! Hari, the chef, pulled together a full plant based menu just for me. More choices than I have ever had at any hotel or restaurant that I have visited in the world.
One of the reasons I chose Gili was for the vegan experience. The vegan meals, including the desserts. Wow! Again, way more than what I expected.
