Vegan-friendly at Mirihi Island Resort
Not confirmed by guests
Despite strong positive guest reports of vegan accommodation and custom dishes, the hotel has been gated as excluded for vegan-friendly status due to insufficient evidence of systematic offering or marketing. Guests praised staff effort and custom catering, but specialty vegan products (vegan cheese, premium ice cream) and clear desert labeling were noted as gaps.
Often listed as vegan-friendly, but recent guest reviews didn't back this up.

Guests consistently reported positive experiences with vegan dining, highlighting attentive kitchen staff (especially Chef Felix and Chef Vijay) who provided custom dishes and buffet guidance at every meal (TripAdvisor, TripCom). However, the hotel does not market vegan options and lacks systematic specialty vegan products—guests noted limited vegan cheese and ice cream availability, and desert labeling for vegan/vegetarian items was cited as missing. While individual staff accommodation was excellent, these gaps and the absence of marketing signals result in exclusion from vegan-friendly status.

My wife is vegan, and we appreciate the number of vegan options, as well as focus and follow-up from the Food & Beverage team, especially Chef Felix, Chef Vijay, and Roman.
As a vegan, I was a little concerned as to what options I would have, but I did not need to worry. The kitchen team are excellent at what they do, and on days where there was less choice on the buffet they would make me something with what they had to hand.

Being vegan, we were worried that options might be a bit limited but Felix went to great lengths to ensure that we were well catered for during our stay, offering custom options off the menu or pretty much anything that we desired.
whether or not the deserts are vegan or vegetarian
As recently proclaimed 'awkward vegans', we were amazed, not only at what was available for our dietary requirements, but also that, for every meal, the amazing chefs would come over to us at the buffet to explain to us what we could eat and what included dairy or meat/fish. On a few occasions where desserts were limited for us, they even made special plant-based dishes.
I did clarify that is was a milk allergy and decided to use the term vegan instead which made things much easier. They did make anything he requested without hesitation. There were occasions where he was a bit more limited as they didn't have vegan cheese or ice cream… well not the ice cream I was expecting, it was essentially just banana and coconut milk.
