Guests consistently praise the hotel's vegan dining across TripAdvisor (16 positive, 3 negative, 2 mixed) and Google (2 positive, 1 negative), highlighting chef-led customization, plentiful buffet options, and daily themed meals with vegan alternatives at the main restaurant and Tides. However, negative feedback reveals gaps: insufficient options at special events, limited breakfast plant-based staples (milk, butter), and lack of clear vegan labeling on buffets and à la carte menus. Specialty restaurants like Buddha offer exceptional vegan fare, while mid-range accommodation depends on staff initiative rather than systematic provision.

we would have loved to have more vegetarian or vegan alternatives. - just do not put meat in some curry (most of the time there were only 1-2 dished without meat.
the buffet served at the main restaurant, Le Patio, is so extensive and diverse catering to all dietary requirements, including vegan and gluten free!
Specifically since we are Vegan, it's rare to find such excellent delicatessens in Mauritius for us.
A vegan section (there's already a gluten-free and egg-free section, but everything there contains milk)
Head of house Nalini immediately accommodated my plant based diet upon arrival and made the options plentiful and delicious. Equally in the main restaurant chef Axel and his team put on a huge spread with plenty of choices and even went out of his way to make additional vegan dishes.
We are vegans so we always find it tricky eating out when we go away and although most of the choices here are for meat eaters, there is still a lot we can eat and the curry range in the evenings is incredible! But yesterday at lunch too we had vegan pizza with coconut cheese and it was delicious (just ask them for this, only margarita pizza is on the menu, but they can arrange for you a vegan option).
Chef Kandy is a sushi Masterchef, specifically made a vegan surprise for my wife and it was delicious.
We follow a vegan diet and each day Vikram and another female manager ensured we had a variety of choice that were not on the menu
Earlier
there was plenty of variety for the vegan's or those who did not fancy the theme of the evening
Vegan options were also available, though not specifically labelled.
one vegan member of the family who was delighted at the quality and choice on offer
The vegan tofu stir fry and pork noodles tasted wonderful
at Tides every day a different "cuisine" is proposed with alternative food for vegetarians, vegans etc.
The hotel isn't really offering non diary options on the breakfast buffet with a lack of plant milk, non diary butter etc. they did make vegan pancakes on request but they was about it.
they put in the effort and resources to prepare for us very tasty vegan dishes
Sonam who took care of us during breakfast and the wonderful chefs who took care of our special dietary requirements (vegan & vegetarian) Axel who made sure we were taken care of at dinners
we are vegans but there were so many choices including egg free pastries, egg free crepes and food prepared by chef to order
Especially being vegans the hotel made extra effort to accommodate our wishes including making egg free crepes and dessert made from egg free cakes
I specially liked the fact that my dietary requirements (vegan) were taken care of. In the morning the chef would personally meet me to help decide on a special menu for the night.
During the booking and while checking in, on both occasions I specifically mentioned that we were vegetarians and were assured that this would be taken care of. Much to our consternation, the Xmas eve buffet despite being lavish, had only a greens salad for entree- the soup was non veg and there was only 1 or 2 items fr mains.
Restaurant Chef Alex who was very caring about my vegan diet
the main restaurant which caters for breakfast and evening buffet (as well as lunch) that we loved the most - the chefs serve up a feast at every sitting and choices are plentyful (Inc vegetarians/vegans/GF dietary requirements)
There was a fairly good choice of options for our daughter who is dairy-free, although it would have been great if vegan cheese had been available for pizzas and pasta dishes throughout the hotel. There also needs to be a few more options for vegans/dairy-free guests at lunch at the pool bar.
plenty of vegan and gluten free options at the main restaurant and buffet
