Vegan-friendly at Banyan Tree Phuket
Not confirmed by guests
Vegan options are highly inconsistent across the property. Private chefs and customization receive strong praise, but standard dining venues are frequently criticized for limited, uninspired vegan selections, with one staff failure to deliver a properly vegan packed breakfast despite a promise.
Often listed as vegan-friendly, but recent guest reviews didn't back this up.

the lack of vegetarian and vegan selection in all the F&B joints.
Guest experiences with vegan accommodations vary dramatically by venue and context. Dedicated private chefs consistently deliver excellent custom vegan cuisine at both breakfast and dinner across multiple platforms, earning strong praise. However, restaurant and room service offerings are widely criticized across TripAdvisor for limited selections, lack of creativity, and staff knowledge gaps—with one notable incident of ham sandwiches delivered instead of a promised vegan breakfast. While the hotel demonstrates capability through targeted customization and chef expertise, standardized vegan options remain a weak point.

Breakfast was a little hit and miss as there were two vegans in the party and chefs were not able to explain what was vegan but the staff were willing to make something to accommodate.

As vegans, we are particular about how everything is made and they worked with Sous Chefs Guy (Worapong Paenchoo) and Pittaya Suppanarm to make so many scrumptious inventive dishes for us. This was true at both breakfast and the restaurants for dinner. Chef Guy created an amazing vegan version of pad kee mao for us (not on the menu).

Restaurant is limited on food choices especially if you are a vegan. On the last day they told us we would receive a packed vegan breakfast. We received ham sandwich's with a selection of pastries and yogurts!!
but there are less vegan and vegetarian options in room service and restaurants

I fell in total love with his Vegan Carrot Cake (I'm not vegetarian at all), that I requested the recipe.
Would be good if more thought and effort were put into vegan/vegetarian dishes, rather than just plonking cauliflower and cheese sauce down and calling it gourmet.
